Outrage by Fletcher’s Militia The mail carrier on the
route between this place and Thomasville, Mo., reports that while going from
one post office to another in the discharge of his duties-that a squad of
federal militia soldiers came up with him and pressed him into their service,
compelling him to pilot them a considerable distance, which delayed him many
hours, and put him behind his time of arrival at the proper post office. – |
